meet

Mary Martineau, MSW, LCSW

I earned my master’s degree from the University of Utah, School of Social Work emphasis in Gerontology. I have worked in multiple medical and therapeutic settings with grief and trauma through hospice, clinical care management and inpatient behavioral health.  I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Natural Processing (Bi-lateral reprocessing and integration), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and therapeutic caregiver support for families of dementia patients. I also have 11 years of experience as a grief group facilitator with Caring Connections: A Hope and Comfort in Grief Program at the University of Utah.

The grief we experience can overwhelm us. Grief at times can be seen only as the loss of someone. I believe in a holistic approach that grief can be the loss of a job, the life that we thought we would have, divorce, ending of a friendship or relationship and much more.  Our grief is also complicated when we experience symptoms of trauma. I offer evidence-based treatments using body/mind techniques that are designed to assist your natural body processes to achieve growth and healing.

We will work together to move through the life journey with a trauma informed lens that takes in account the past, present, and future.

The techniques I use are designed to help you find your internal strength, courage, and wisdom. We will work together to achieve your healing and acceptance.

I am a native Utahn. In my free time I enjoy exploring red rock country, flat water kayaking, sculpting and reading.

meet

Sharri Clonts, LMFT

I began my career as an MFT in Orange County, California in 2008 and have since found my way to Utah. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide population of people and particularly enjoy working with adults, couples, families and college students. I enjoy offering unconditional positive regard to each person , and believe this is the most important trait a therapist can bring to the counseling environment.

I enjoy empowering individuals to identify their values and beliefs that provide a compass through their life transitions. I view each opportunity to join someone on their journey as an honor and a privilege.

I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, anger management, ADHD and other mental health issues. I enjoy working with individuals, families and couples. I currently provide counseling in the office in Provo, via telehealth and also provide Mindful Movement sessions that incorporate movement and outdoor somatic experience with therapy.

I enjoy teaching exercise classes, learning, reading, listening to podcasts, spending time with family, traveling and creative home projects.
